Enable Salesforce users to nominate Contacts for your program

This section covers how to enable any Salesforce user to go to a Contact record and nominate or submit that Contact for your customer program, and automatically create a SlapFive Member.

  1. Determine the Contact fields that you want to send to SlapFive with the nomination. The required Contact fields are First Name, Last Name, Email, and Company Name. You may also want to send the Contact's Title, location or address, and any other fields that can help you engage that Contact as a Member in SlapFive.

  2. In Salesforce Setup, define the triggering mechanism on the Contact page for submitting a nomination. The two most common ways to do this are:

    1. Add a custom button to the Contact page with a label such as "Nominate as Advocate".

    2. Add a custom field to the Contact object that is either a checkbox or a picklist, so that checking it or selecting a picklist value triggers the nomination.

  3. Create the Salesforce Outbound Message and Flow as described in the Select Salesforce objects and fields to synch section.

    1. In the Flow, set the Entry Conditions to be the custom button or custom field being set to the desired value for triggering the nomination.

    2. In the Outbound Message, in the Contact fields to send, select all the fields from Step 1. Your SlapFive Coach will provide you with the Endpoint URL.

  4. Your SlapFive Coach will activate the integration.
