# 2. Create a Named Credential

The SlapFive Salesforce App supports both **Legacy Named Credentials** and Salesforce’s **new Named Credential + External Credential** model.

The Legacy Named Credential is far simpler to set up. But some organizations have governance policies that require the newer model.
