# SlapFive UpHigh AEO Planning Guide

This section describes the steps to take to activate SlapFive UpHigh to optimize how your company and products are included in AI bots like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.

### 1. Mine existing customer content for new Stories

Your company has done many customer interviews and video shoots to generate customer content. The video recordings and transcripts from these events are loaded with amazing AEO content that "hit the cutting room floor", meaning customer responses that didn't make it into the traditional Challenge-Solution-Result case study or 3 minute testimonial video.

Your SlapFive CSM will guide you on how to extract the golden nuggets from these recordings and transcripts, and turn them into Stories that the answer engines LOVE.

### 2. Create a Custom Domain

You'll want the AEO pages that SlapFive generates to be rendered within your company's domain. This is done by creating a Custom Domain. If you've already created a Custom Domain for rendering Boards, you are all set, we'll use that domain. Otherwise, [follow the steps here to configure a custom domain](/customizations/configure-a-custom-domain-for-your-slapfive-boards.md).

### 3. Activate SlapFive UpHigh

Go to **Settings > Basic** and scroll to the **UpHigh** section.

* [ ] Check **Enable UpHigh for this client**.
* [ ] Enter a **Brand Description**. Describe what your company and products do. You may want to ask your Marketing Communications team for help here. This description appears in your llms.txt file to help AI systems understand your brand context. 

### 4. Identify the Stories to include in AEO

You have many types of Stories, you need to identify the ones that should be read by the answer engines to improve your AEO. There are two ways to do this:

#### One Story at a time:

Edit a Story, and check the **Enable UpHigh** box.
